Our 600 colleagues at Vandewiele Marke (HQ) are working on the next generation of smart and interconnected textile machines, with close interaction between R&D and production. We have a state-of-the-art production system, in which our fully automated production process is realized in-house. The IT team in Marke has about twenty colleagues and consists of 2 sub-teams: Infrastructure and Business Applications. Together with the IT suppliers, we provide service to the entire Vandewiele Group. Your function VANDEWIELE is on the brink of a transformation, and we need your expertise! We are rolling out new solutions for manufacturing (MES) and warehouse management (WMS), as a replacement for the current solution on AS400, and we want you to lead this charge. What You’ll Do: As a pivotal member of our Business Applications team, you will spearhead the implementation of our new WMS for the Vandewiele Group. This includes seamless integration with MES and ERP. You’ll help with the implementation at our headquarters in Marke, with the intention to deploy later at other European sites of the Group. Your Key Responsibilities: Dive deep into Vandewiele’s business and production processes to understand the ins and outs of our current system. Take ownership of the project from analysis through to implementation and go-live of the new system. Collaborate closely with various departments, IT teams, and our supplier to ensure a smooth transition. Manage the shift from the old system to the new, ensuring any issues are thoroughly investigated and resolved. After the go-live, you will be the go-to expert for WMS solutions across the Vandewiele Group and contribute to WMS projects at other branches. You report directly to the IT Manager Business Applications.

Wie zoeken we?

You have a Master's degree or equivalent through experience. Experience with IT systems in logistics or production environments is a necessity You have a keen interest in production processes and a passion for connecting this with IT solutions. You possess a sharp analytical mind, capable of tackling and solving complex problems. You can spot and capitalize on opportunities in digital transformation projects. Excellent interpersonal skills are a must, as you’ll need to communicate and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including senior management, IT teams, and external partners. Experience in change management is highly desirable. You can express yourself in English. French is a plus. You are willing to travel to other sites of the Vandewiele Group (up to once a month for three days). Functionele tests van de ontwikkelde toepassingen uitvoeren en opvolgen Functionele oplossingen formaliseren en bepalen Evoluties en functionele uitbreidingen van het informatiesysteem voorstellen aan de opdrachtgever Lastenboeken en functionele en algemene specificaties uitwerken, bijwerken en aan de opdrachtgever overmaken De activiteiten van een team coördineren Gegevensdragers opstellen voor informatiedoorstroming of opleiding en deze doorgeven aan de betrokken personen De architectuur van de informatiesystemen van de onderneming analyseren De technische, economische, ... informatie en de reglementering opvolgen en actualiseren Controleren of de gebruikers de informatiesystemen gelijkvormig gebruiken (regels, procedures, ...) Gebruikers begeleiden of opleiden over de nieuwe vakprocessen en toepassingen Strategische keuzes voor de evolutie van de informatiesystemen van de onderneming bepalen en aanbevelen
